How we use information and our lawful bases

  • To provide quotations, process and deliver orders, build configured equipment, arrange installation, take payment, manage returns and provide customer support. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract or steps requested before entering one.
  • To operate trade accounts, assess credit, manage purchase orders and recover debts. Our lawful bases are contract and our legitimate interests in responsible credit and financial management.
  • To meet tax, accounting, product-safety, warranty and other legal duties. Our lawful basis is compliance with a legal obligation.
  • To prevent fraud, protect our systems, improve the website, understand demand and manage our business. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
  • To send electronic marketing where you have consented or where the law otherwise permits it. You can opt out at any time.
  • To use non-essential cookies and similar technologies where consent is required. See the cookie choices shown on the website.

Who receives information

We may share relevant information with service providers that help us run the business, including Shopify and ecommerce providers, payment processors, banks, couriers, pallet and specialist carriers, installers, manufacturers and suppliers, IT and hosting providers, email and marketing platforms, accountants, professional advisers, credit-reference and fraud-prevention services, insurers and public authorities where required. We only share what is reasonably necessary and require service providers to protect the information.

International transfers

Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use an approved legal mechanism or another lawful safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections, where required.

Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described, including legal, tax, accounting, safety, warranty, dispute and fraud-prevention requirements. Retention periods vary by record type. Order, invoice and accounting records are generally kept for at least the applicable statutory period; service and machinery records may be retained for the useful life of the equipment where needed for safety, warranty or support. We securely delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required.

Your rights

Subject to legal conditions, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or an objection to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also object to direct marketing at any time.
